From 2016

We haven’t got a long story to tell but all the right ingredients are in place to start writing it. We opened our refuge on 7 December 2016 with the idea of serving simple, authentic traditional local dishes, to be savoured in the heart of the stunning natural Dolomite landscape, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Sella peaks, the verdant green of the meadows and woodlands in the summer and the white snow-covered winter wonderland are the backdrop to our refuge built from antique-look wood with huge windows. It was our desire to create a space paying homage to tradition but reinterpreting it in a modern key. Three spacious wood panelled rooms create an informal ambience so typical of mountain living, its typical Ladin architecture in perfect harmony with the surrounding environment.

On the Sellaronda Circuit

SUMMER AND WINTER

Our Ütia La Tambra refuge is on Campolongo Pass, at an altitude of 1875m, on the famous Sellaronda Circuit, a favoured destination for skiers, hikers and cyclists. On the border between the regions of Veneto and Trentino Alto Adige, the Campolongo Pass links Corvara in Badia and Livinallongo del Col di Lana.

There are countless things to do for lovers of sport and the mountains: kilometres of ski pistes set in breath-taking landscapes, cycle and mountain bike trails and circuits of varying difficulty, hiking trails on woodland footpaths or among the Dolomite peaks, Nordic walking trails, climbing routes and vie ferrate.

The landscape surrounding our refuge is also guaranteed to attract and enthral less sporty types who can simply drink in the spectacle provided by the pure white wintertime peaks or the verdant green of the meadows and woodlands in summer.
You can reach our refuge easily by car, making use of the spacious free car park, open all year round, or come by bike or directly from the ski pistes.

We’ll be waiting to welcome you for a lunch or dinner, or just an aperitif in our refuge in the heart of the Dolomites.
